About Us

The Institute of Child Education and Psychology (ICEP) Europe is an independent education and research institute specialising in flexible, blended and online quality continuing professional development (CPD) and higher education programmes for learners with a professional or personal interest in the fields of education and psychology.  ICEP Europe has been a pioneer and leader in flexible, blended and online learning in inclusion, special education, and psychology for over 20 years and has extensive experience of collaborative provision with universities and higher education institutions in Ireland and the UK. To date, we have provided successful learning opportunities to more than 30,000 teachers, teaching assistants, psychologists, and other professionals, from over 65 countries worldwide.

Our highly supported, flexible learning model encompasses blended programmes which combine face-to-face instruction with interactive, online content. We deliver innovative and accessible, cutting-edge higher education programmes, designed to reduce barriers to participation and enhance future career prospects while meeting all required national and international quality assurance standards. Our constructivist approach to teaching and learning is learner-centred, holistic, and research-led, and designed to be active, engaging, and educationally empowering.

As an organisation, ICEP Europe combines extensive expertise and practical experience in the fields of special and inclusive education, psychology, and teacher professional development, with a track record of innovation and excellence in Ireland, the UK and internationally. Our faculty also comprises research experts of international quality and reputation in the fields of psychology and education.  We have a long history of involvement in large-scale national and international research projects (e.g., Horizon 2020), and our areas of research expertise include inclusive education, special educational needs, mental health, well-being, and resilience.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals and wider society through accessible, and transformative educational experiences in the fields of psychology and education. Our quality-assured educational provision is underpinned by cutting-edge research and innovative learning technologies.

We strive to remove barriers to learner access, participation, and success, by providing a respectful, cooperative and equitable learning environment which reflects the diversity of our learners and staff, embedding our key value of inclusion.

We enable and empower learners with the knowledge, learning, and skills to foster meaningful change and respond to the complex and shared challenges of our rapidly changing world.   We do this by providing outstanding technology-enhanced educational experiences that are learner-centred, research-informed, flexible, and inclusive. In parallel to our educational provision, we undertake innovative and high-quality research that addresses contemporary educational and societal issues and global challenges. Research is integral to what we do, and central to our educational provision, shaping and informing our higher education and professional development programmes and ensuring authentic links between our educational and research endeavours.
